What do Design and Decorate Naturally mean by preparation

We agree all works to be completed prior to commencement.
We ask that you remove all ornaments, pictures and curtains from the room/s to be worked in, but we will move furniture as required. If you require us to move ornaments, pictures and curtains please inform us prior to starting.
We will cover over all furniture and flooring as well as the flooring outside the room/s being worked in.
We remove all loose, flaking and rotten materials as required.
In making good we use appropriate primers and fillers dependent on surface for example on exterior wood work we use a two part resin filler that is highly durable and is not subject to water ingress.
All surfaces where applicable are rubbed down using either mechanical sanders or by hand.
All surfaces are washed/wiped with sugar soap or an appropriate product to remove grease and dirt to increase the adhesion of paint. This helps to ensure that the finish will last a long time.
Before painting we mask all areas that are likely to come into contact with paint and are NOT being painted for example the edge of the carpet around the skirting boards. This ensures that we do our best to look after and respect your environment. As an attention to detail when painting your windows where appropriate we mask the glass so that when we finish there is a beautiful straight edge on the glass and not the wavy line that is often seen.
We use only top quality materials usually from the Dulux range that have been proven to have long life and durability. If you choose to use products from our environmental range they will be either Auro or Ecos, we have used these products extensively and can testify to their quality and the ethos of the company.
On completion of the works we remove all sheeting and masking and vacuum the room/s, replacing furniture that we have moved so you can move straight in and enjoy the transformation of your room/s.
We appreciate that we are working in your home and at the end of each working day will leave clean and tidy any areas that we have had to use.
