The contract was for a full exterior decoration of this beautiful house.

The garage block was also to be fully decorated.

The oak uprights and staircase were thoroughly prepared and primed before a minimum of 2 coats of Dulux Woodstain AP colour Light Oak was applied.

The garage doors were prepared and primed before applying 2 coats of Sadolin Classic colour Teak that really brought the doors to life.

Windows, Gutters, Fascia’s were all painted using the Dulux Weathershield System which gives 6-8 years protection and peace of mind.

The oak front door was stripped back to bare wood before receiving 1 coat of Colron Light Oak wood dye, 3 coats of Yacht Varnish and new door furniture.

43 windows many of which were Georgian required meticulous preparation and attention to detail when painting.

The side of the house.

The dormer windows were transformed after being badly weather damaged. The lead aprons were re-seated, trimmed and oiled.

The plain fascias were rotten and replaced by bespoke fascias inlaid with 3 flutes which is more in keeping with a property of this stature.

Moving to the rear of the house the imposing oak framed Conservatory comes into view.

We were commissioned to restore all the tiled fascias to their former glory. We think we succeeded.

After thorough preparation and priming all the windows received a minimum of 2 coats of undercoat and 1 coat of gloss.

Beautiful to look at but challenging to ensure Health and Safety Legislation is met. (see last picture)

After preparation and priming the beams were brought to life with at least 2 coats of Dulux Woodstain AP colour Walnut.

Only hard work and attention to detail provide this quality of finish.

Being in the shade for most of the day the window cills can remain wet. In the end they received 6 coats of paint. We know they will last.

The external doors were dark and gloomy.
