From start to finish the project was handled professionally , on schedule and with just the right level of empathy .

All contractors appeared on time , gave reliable advice and completed all work to a high standard. All quotes were adhered to and any additional work was separately quoted and invoiced.The entire project was completed within the agreed timescale .

I purchased a terraced house in the Inner Avenue area of Southampton nearly a year ago and inevitably there are a considerable number of jobs which need doing. I have now used Design and Decorate Nauturally for three separate projects having found their business card in my local pub.

Each job has been completed to an extremely high standard, on time and at an acceptable cost. I particularly like the way they approached the ugrading and redecoration of the outside of the house, which now looks fantastic - the smartest in the neighbourhood. The range of natural organic paints which they recommended for the two interior jobs they have done - hall & stairs and bathroom - were a great bonus. There is a great range of colours and I am delighted with the results. Not just a great finish but also a very pleasant aroma, far removed from the usual just-painted smell. They are now quoting for the next job on my list, and I would recommend them to anyone.

The “C” Family, both myself and my parents, have worked with David on numerous occasions over many years: from decorating a small London flat, to a complete internal and external re-decoration of a country cottage on Exmoor. It was our experience of working with David on these occasions that led us to trust him with the daunting task of both the Project Management and a complete internal and external decoration of a dilapidated house in North London, in much need of repair. The structural survey said that it wasn’t a project to be taken on lightly: but with David at the helm it was completed as near to time and budget as you could ever hope.

Designing and decorating a home is a bit like choosing a partner: it’s a personal and emotional journey and it says a lot about you as a person. David, through intuition and experience successfully guided us through the process: helping, supporting and bringing to life the good (and possible!) ideas and quietly putting to bed the impossible. While I was caught up at the office, in meetings or delayed at the airport it was such a comfort to know that he was working hard to bring my dreams for a home to life with determination and diligence. He managed the messy and complex interface between many different tradesmen – plumbers, electricians, builders – suppliers, structural engineers and building control with skill and confidence. The fact that my neighbours are still talking to me after 8 months of scaffolding, dust and early starts, is a testament to his tact, good humour and sensitivity!

And that was just the project management. When it comes to decoration, he is as accurate, careful and painstaking as you could ever wish. You won’t find someone who pays a closer attention to the details than David and his team.

As both a project manager and inspired decorator, David and his address book are worth every penny and I would recommend them to anyone about to undertake the daunting and exhilarating task of renovating a house. You know that you can trust them to carry out the job in your absence – a rare quality - and to recommend practical solutions. Part time mentor and part time friend, we have achieved the impossible: a considerable and extensive project without ever falling out.

I know that my parents already have plans afoot for David in the future; so my advice would be - get that slot in his diary as quickly as possible.
